One beautiful Saturday morning, I was up early and decided to hit some local garage sales. I wasnt looking for anything in particular, but thought it sounded like a good reason to make myself get out of my pajamas and into the sunshine. I had recently read some sewing machine reviews, and deep in the back of my mind, I was thinking that perhaps I would find the best sewing machines, but certainly wasnt counting on it.
After meandering for a couple of hours, I was ready to head home with a few new books and knickknacks, when I saw a sign for an estate sale at a beautiful home on the lake. As I walked in the front door, the first thing that caught my eye was a sewing machine that looked like it had never been used. The price tag? A mere $40. I immediately purchased the machine and ran home to do a little research on my find.
I pulled up the sewing machine reviews I had been reading earlier, and found that the machine I had just purchased was top of the line, and worth over $500! I have found lots of great bargains during my days trolling garage sales, but this one takes the cake!
